Following the recent announce of their ‘JPEG 2020’ European tour in support of their upcoming album release on December 6, German producer and DJ duo Digitalism (Jens Moelle and Ismail Tufekci) deliver the next synth-heavy instalment of what’s to come with their new single ‘Panavision’.

As the second single leading into their forthcoming album release titled JPEG, ‘Panavision’ is all about scope and duality – “It comes in two parts and is so big that we had to think of an ultra-wide cinematic picture. There’s so much stuff going on around us in all directions – there’s always multiple sides to things, a yin-and-yang. ‘Panavision’ starts out very cinematic and then launches into this big, driving, ride that we must have listened to so many times in our studio that we’re now addicted to it. Can you play it again please?” explains Digitalism.

Over the past two years, the German  duo have self-released singles including ‘Glow’, ‘Holograms’ and ‘Infinity’, and now through their labels Magnetism and etcetc Music, Digitalism bring ‘Wish I Was There’. This follows on from their most recent release Chapter 4 made up of two singles ‘Olympia’ and ‘Voltage’ which was finalised on their last Australian tour in Kim from The Presets’ studio, a friend of the duo.

Starting their career in 2001, producing vibrant live sets, the Digitalism boys soon signed to Kitsune, with their release ‘Zdarlight’. Following up the release with ‘Jupiter Room’ from their Idealism album, Digitalism soon became synonymous with their unique and original electronic productions, a crossover sound with roots found in both indie and techno. The album, now celebrating a decade since release, became an instant classic in the indie electro scene, establishing Digitalism as one of the biggest acts in the genre, alongside notable acts such as Justice.
