Gold Coast producer Paces is on an undeniable upward swing. After selling out his series of Ship to Shore album launch parties around the country, his debut LP ‘Vacation’ entered the iTunes Top 20 album chart and claimed the #2 spot on the Electronic chart. Paces’ single with Jess Kent ‘1993 (No Chill)’ also received national radio support and has racked up 400,000 spins on Spotify alone! Paces now releases Work Me Out, premiered by Consequence of Sound and featuring Baltimore rapper and long-time M.I.A collaborator Rye Rye.

“I’ve loved Rye Rye’s tunes since wayyyyy back!” explains Paces. 'Shake It To The Ground’ helped bring Baltimore Club music to the world. It was such a club anthem and a real favourite of mine. I never thought I’d get to work with her on something but hey, the internet is a crazy place! I just wrote to Rye Rye out of the blue with this instrumental. It turned out she was keen to work and the next thing I knew she was on my album. Dreams really do come true!”

“Of all the guests aboard Paces’ debut LP ‘Vacation’…track ‘Work Me Out’ featuring American rapper Rye Rye is worth particularly high praise. ‘Work Me Out’ marries Mikey Perry’s past in Gold Coast bass duo Surcut Kids with the kind of tropical flavours he’s made his trademark as Paces. The vocal from Rye Rye is a serendipitous team-up too, with Rye Rye’s rubbery raps matching the bounce and fizziness of the beat.” Dave Ruby Howe, Triple J

On featuring on the track, Rye Rye said, “I love ‘Work Me Out’ it's kinda chill and sexy at the same time. One of those songs that you blast riding in the car with the windows down and all of your friends singing together. A big vacation party!”
