Silence is traditionally golden, except when you have been waiting too long between drinks… and when drinks actually means a new single from PNAU, then silence can be unbearable. We can finally reveal what’s next from the duo of Peter Mayes and Nick Littlemore – Unite Us. We could have revealed it a little earlier, but we thought that we’d make you sweat it out a little bit first, but the remixes and videos for Unite Us are well and truly in, and are have hit the internet.

Having already primed combustion tanks of their interstellar ‘Soft Universe’ voyager, PNAU have broken orbit to deliver their next single – Unite Us. An anthemic re-entry into the musical stratosphere, Unite Us is the lovers sonnet of the electronic age – hitting the soul with emotionally charged vocals, deep arpeggiated synth lines and stadium readied synth stabs which scream the sadistic woes of stretched heartstrings.

Never before has heartbreak sounded this good.

You know the first time that you hear a new track, and you’re taken back a little? Your mouth tightens and you smirk stupidly and the only vocal response you are able tos tructure is “Woah”. Well, the debut single from All The Lights had that effect on us. Chasing Colours is one of those records that defies being genre pigeon holed, projecting a luminous brilliance which encompasses blissful elements of indie, pop, dance and more. Did I mention there were key’s in there too yet?

Anyway, it’s one of the most infectious records we have come across in a long time, with a remix pack that seems almost frankenstein on the surface, with house music heavyweight Ian Carey bringing his A-game, along with some deep house beats and disco sampled treats from Plastic Plates and Moonchild. But it somehow comes together as a single remix pack, which is just a moment of total musical completedness. It’s out at the end of August, so you have a couple of weeks to prepare your soul for this.

Trading in his main-room bleep-house for a sound fresher than a new pair of socks, UK house meister Ridney has over-filtered his way back from the future to reverberate his way through the loins and into your soul with his new jam Always With You. This is truly the good kind of music. Always With You is aurally viral; heaps of hats and full of warmth and vibe…. Soo much vibe. It’s a strobe-lit stereo popper, set to burn a whole through main-rooms, back-rooms, iPods, iPads and all other devices you can use to play music on these days.

Re-working this wonder, His Majesty Andre (Cheap Thrills/MODA) waives his musical wand across the track, compressing and sequencing the track into a four-minute-and-seven-second floor filling edit. Taking a few steps back from that front-left speaker stack, is James Curd (DFA/Greenskeepers) who provides no less than three loving re-workings of the track, each defining their own moment of beauty and perfection.

It’s due to hit Juno/Beatport/iTunes on August 4th, so set yourself an ical.

Their 2006 debut, The Looks, established a genre-defying sound as appealing to clubs as it was to mosh pits.

“I think we approach it differently because we’re not coming from a strictly dance background” says one half of the band, Jesse F. Keeler, whose former punk outfit, the now defunct Death from Above 1979, were produced by MSTRKRFT’s other half Al-P.

Now signed to Steve Aoki’s Dim Mak label, MSTRKRFT’s indie-dance credentials are matched only by the ridiculously diverse list of artists that they’ve collaborated with and remixed. From Nine Inch Nails to Wolfmother to Usher to The Kills.

New album Fist of God, features John Legend, Ghostface Killah of the legendary Wu Tang Clan, Isis, Lil’ Mo, Freeway and more.

The first single, ode-to-hedonism Bounce featuring US rapper N.O.R.E. has brutally pounded dance-floors everywhere. And the best is yet to come.

Fist of God is out 24 April on etcetc.

Tracklisting:

1. It Ain’t Love (feat. Lil’ Mo)
2. 1000 Cigarettes
3. Bounce (feat. Nore & Isis)
4. Vuvuvu
5. Heartbreaker
6. Fist Of God
7. So Deep (feat. Jahmal of The Carps)
