etcetc is proud to announce the signing of Flash 89 to the label, alongside the release of his latest dancefloor-ready tech house EP ‘Body Talk’. ‘Body Talk’ is an acid-laced house track with a rolling baseline and an infectious vocal, which would not be out of place in a Sander Kleinenberg set in 2001.

"My music revolves around the notion of being built for the dance floor and getting bodies moving.   So when I decided to create a record with me on vocals for the first time, I wanted write something that embodied this feeling. ‘Body Talk’ is the idea of talking to your inner monologue and building the courage to go in on the dance floor and do your thing with no worries or cares for what's around you. 'Gotta be cool, just relax, I'm ‘bout to go in, make my body jack". – Flash 89

‘Body Talk’ follows on from Flash 89’s stomping EP ‘Hot Spell’, as well as remixes for Australian electronic legends PNAU and Yolanda Be Cool. Flash’s remix of PNAU’s ARIA Award-winning track ‘Go Bang’ “upped the energy level of the already thumping PNAU hit by turning it into a dark, sweaty club stomper” (Pilerats) and has now hit over a million streams online. Already receiving the acclaim of Complex, DJ Mag and Clash Mag, plus the ongoing support of Dennis Ferrer, Eli Brown, Lee Foss, Mark Knight, the release of Flash 89’s ‘Body Talk’ is set to eclipse all that.

Joining the Australian-based etcetc label, Flash 89 joins a roster of acclaimed, genre-leading producers such as Duke Dumont, PNAU, FISHER and Jax Jones.

On the signing, label head Aden Mullens said, “Adelaide’s own Flash 89 is very obviously, a young gun on the rise. Having already relocated to London due to demand, he’s pulling support from Radio 1 specialists,  notable dance press and the leading producers in his scene. Living abroad will give Flash 89 the support he needs to make a proper go of it in the highly competitive UK and European music market.”

Joining the ‘Body Talk’ package comes one of the top 100 best-selling tech house artists of all time, London-based DJ/producer Iglesias. As a future heavyweight on the scene, Iglesias’ music takes unique inspiration from Italian rolling grooves infused with classic disco elements.

Premiering on Pilerats, Flash 89 ‘Body Talk’  is available to stream/download from August 16th.
