CLYPSO Teams Up With Sophiegrophy for 'Strange Behaviour' Video

CLYPSO has shared the official video for her latest single ‘Strange Behaviour’ featuring Melbourne rapper Sophiegrophy and produced by Entropico. ‘Strange Behaviour’ is lifted from CLYPSO’s debut EP, Cameo¸which was released earlier this month and has been garnering rave reviews for the Sydney-based songwriter, producer and vocalist. Next month CLYPSO will be taking her Cameo EP tour to Sydney and Melbourne for headline shows, supported by Sophiegrophy.

On creating the video for ‘Strange Behaviour’, CLYPSO says “In this alternate CLYPSO reality, the roles are swapped, the kids are adults and the adults are kids. As we grow up our child-like curiosity and attitude of doing things differently gets tinier and tinier as we try to fit in. This video is a metaphor of rebelling against our own grown-up needs of conforming.

Cameo features 2018 favourites ‘Pop Roll Flow’ and ‘Middle Ground’ featuring Kwame, plus ‘Strange Behaviour’ featuring Sophiegrophy, as well as two fresh new tracks, ‘Bounty’, co-produced with Kilter, and ‘Beyond Desire’ featuring ARIA Award-winning tabla player, Bobby Singh.

‘Cameo’ is a collage of the musical fabric that is CLYPSO, bent around the edges and in the name of free-loving groove; pure escapism. It is a collection of hyperactive beat-driven flight of ideas as well as a pastiche of the artist's sonic and cultural influences.
