Will Clarke delivers his first record of the year with the brilliant ‘New Generation’.Diving into the archives of iconic English act Imagination, Clarke contemporises the group’s 1983 cult hit ‘NewDimension’ with an entranced vocal and signature late night production. Being a widely celebrated act of the 80s,Imagination have been sampled by artists like Mariah Carey, P.M.Dawn, and Destiny’s Child, however their single ‘New Dimension’ has gone relatively un-noticed.

Soulful catchy vocals immediately capture you from the start drawing you in before being hit with Will’s signature kick drum which is slowly but surely becoming a staple piece of his production. The two combine perfectly for this infectious tune which is sure to do some damage on the floor as club life returns to form for Australia.

Speaking on what inspired making the record, Clarke expands,“Back in May 2021 when the clubs were still shut,I really wanted to make a record that crosses all genres and can allow all DJs to play. I came across the record by ‘Imagination’ and knew that these vocals would 100% slam in a club. It was then up to me to write the rest of the record, disco bass line vibes, with a hypnotic synth line and slamming drums. Once I started working on this record it all came together very quickly and everything just worked. I can happily say I cannot wait for this to come out.x”

Over the past 12 months, Will Clarke has expanded his influence on the global dance scene.As the face of global dance playlist covers, Clarke continues to make his enthusiasm for the Australian dance scene know remixing for the likes of PNAU,RÜFÜS DU SOL, and Dom Dolla’s latest single‘Strangers’ featuring Mansionair. Clarke kicked off 2022 with ‘The New Generation Tour’ throughoutNorth America hitting 16 states in five months. We’re hoping to see him in Australia later in 2022.
