Australian producer Luke Million had a
massive 2016, touring throughout Australia, the US and Canada, picking up
specialist radio play in the US, and topping it off by becoming an
international viral sensation with his version of the Stranger
Things theme, which also got added across the board on
triple j. Luke now returns with his brand new single ‘Back To The Rhythm’
featuring fellow Australian, neo-soul singer Sam Sparro. A return to Luke’s roots,
‘Back To The
Rhythm’ is a fresh take on feel-good funk, with the combination of soaring
synths, guitar licks and percussion alongside Sam’s smooth vocals combining to
create the ultimate jam.
‘Back To The
Rhythm’ is the lead single from Luke’s forthcoming EP of the same name and Sam
is the first of several very special guest collaborators to be revealed. Luke
explains how the track came about: “Back
to the Rhythm’ came alive after just a couple hours of jamming in Sam's studio.
The ideas flowed spontaneously and it was hard to contain our excitement.
Writing with Sam was an amazing experience; he is one of the most talented
artists I have ever worked with!”
Sam Sparro adds, “Luke
was in LA and came to my
studio. We waxed poetic for a while about classic dance music and how much we
loved Larry Levan and all the Paradise Garage classics and D-Train. The whole
idea was that when everything gets complicated and serious you just need to get
back to the joy and simplicity in what you do. Going "back to the
rhythm" is that - a return to the love for dance music.”
Following the success of Luke’s previous singles including ‘Light & Sound’, ‘Fear The
Night’ and ‘Arnold’
that have amassed millions of plays online, alongside Sam’s impressive
back-catalogue including much-loved hit single ‘Black & Gold’, ‘Back To The
Rhythm’ is a dream collab.
Armed with an arsenal of synths and keyboards, on stage is where Luke really comes
alive. Luke is setting off around Australia throughout March and April as a
special guest for Client
Liaison’s ‘Diplomatic
Immunity’ tour, following up from his extensive ‘Live Journey’ tour
over summer, which included huge performances at Beyond The Valley,
Lost Paradise
and Southbound festivals.
