First Nations artist Djanaba is back with her fierce new single, with female empowerment and confidence at the forefront. 'Don't Really Care', her follow up to 2021 hit 'Big Titties', once again co-written and produced by Aussie dance legends PNAU, is a powerful track with a commanding groove, guaranteed to get you moving. Accompanying the single is the official music video perfectly capturing Djanaba's confidence and sense of humour, once again showcasing her unapologetic attitude towards life and love.

Djanaba describes the meaning behind the track: “I never considered myself someone who was naive, someone who couldn’t see through mens bullshit. This song is very much paying homage to the lessons I've learnt growing into myself. It’s a sad reality women have to live with when they rarely feel safe, considered or even friends with the men they surround themselves with.

Djanaba is a Wiradjuri and Bundjalung woman from Newcastle with connections to the Wollombi people. Raised on traditional dance and song, Djanaba takes these lessons and interprets them within contemporary pieces of music. With influences from Florence and the Machine, Birdy and SZA, her unique taste in allows for a wide variety of styles to be portrayed throughout her music. Writing music since she was thirteen, she has experimented with writing and performing from Klub Koori to Yabun.

With a stacked 2023 ahead, full of live shows, including a performance at Vivid, and new music, ‘Don’t Really Care’ is just the first taste of an exciting year to come.
