Today CLYPSO releases a vibrant new track, Less Talk’, which was co-produced alongside Ben Plant from Miami Horror. While touring Australia with The Avalanches, CLYPSO had a rest day in Melbourne in-between shows and it just so happened that Ben was also free before he planned to head back to the US. Having already got the bones of the song together, they jumped into the studio and ‘Less Talk’ was finalised. The track encapsulates the classic CLYPSO sound and describes the wild abandon of a night so good you don’t want it to end.

CLYPSO states, “Less Talk is the final single in a series of songs which use the physical world to reflect the inner world. While Storm put listeners through a monsoon and On Our Way shone its bright sunny rays, Less Talk is the wild abandon of a cosmic, moon-infused night; a night so good you “don’t want to go back home”. Once the bones of the track were done, I wanted to get a co-producer onboard to add some oomph. Ben Plant from Miami Horror seemed just the right person for the vibe. We worked remotely on the track and then while I was on tour with The Avalanches, I had an extra day up my sleeve in Melbourne and Ben was going to be flying back to LA a couple of days later. We took the opportunity to book a studio and smash out the final vocals and finalise work on the track.”

The new single sees CLYPSO continue her trajectory as a rising and talented artist in the Australian electronic scene. CLYPSO’s sound is a collage of hyperactive beats, grimey basslines and tropical inspired electronica - or as she describes it, “troppo chilli flakes”.

Since exploding onto the scene in 2017 with her breakthrough single ‘YOLO’, CLYPSO has been turning heads as a songwriter, vocalist and producer, having written with the likes of electronic royalty The AvalanchesKwame, and Konstantin Kersting, as well as gaining a FBi SMAC Award nomination for Breakthrough Artist, a triple j Unearthed Artist of the Week crown, top 10 on the Australian Spotify Viral 50, hitting #1 on the triple j Unearthed Electronic and Hip-Hop chart and being named as one of Junkee’s “Artists Who Will Shape Australian Music in 2021”.

CLYPSO’s energetic and unique live show has also landed her national supports for the likes of PNAUChannel Tres and Art vs Science, as well as huge festivals such as Meredith, Festival of the Sun, Lost Paradise and more.
