Fever Ray cover Peter Gabriel
August 20, 2010 Posted by admin at 9:56 am

Newsflash: A limted number of free downloads are available now from NME.com here.
Fever Ray has today confirmed what many suspected after a shocking, mildly terrifying (and anonymous) image appeared last week with the words ‘Mercy Street’ upon it. Having performed spellbinding live covers of well-loved tracks by artists as varied as Nick Cave, Vashti Bunyan and Peter Gabriel, her cover of the latter’s ‘Mercy Street’ is set for release later this year on limited 7″ and download through Rabid Records.
“It’s an interpretation of Peter Gabriel’s ‘Mercy Street’. We made it more intense and faster to fit our excentric pecussionists and energetic live musicians. It is a monotone track but we worked with the dynamics trying to make it sparkle. I listened to it a lot when I was around 15, and it still moves me. It made me start reading Anne Sexton too.” Karin
For those who have yet to experience the ‘Mercy Street’ cover live, you can catch Fever Ray’s stunning audio-visual show (including an all new live show designed by Andreas Nilsson for the below dates – more info next week) in Europe on the following dates:

Grum’s Miami-Vice tribute
August 9, 2010 Posted by Ben.Zooky at 11:59 am
Grow out that mustache, re-don that pink silk shirt and lower those leather wrapped aviators to the bridge of your nose: this is Miami Vice revisited.
In the lead-up to its August 13th release date, we thought it the appropriate time to share this piece of AV Gold with you and the rest of the internet.
Grum’s video clip for Through the Night is dramatically amazing. Visually, it is probably the most appropriate thing to compliment those warm eightys-esque synths and tightly sequenced pads, channeling that inner Giorgio Moroder within us all that loves nothing better than stereotyped 80’s cop tributes.
Enjoy.
HEARTSREVOLUTION: Albums, Ice-Cream & Digital Magazines
August 2, 2010 Posted by Ben.Zooky at 5:42 pm

Heartsrevolution have been busy. Very Busy. Super Busy – compiling an e-zine, signing the release of their new album RIDE OR DIE to Kitsuné and designing the world’s first crystal encrusted ice-cream van…
The concept of the teams album is based on a cohesive link between audio and video. Pretty much, a film clip for every track. With most labels losing many a hair strand at the thought of producing 13 video-clips to support an album release, the scope of Heartsrevolution vision slotted perfectly within the of Kitsuné, and in the end, that’s why we’re here – pushing something new, creative, and unique.
The duo are preparing to conquer the globe, co-ordinating the release of their 13 track album (due out this spring) with an international tour (ice-cream truck in tow). However, the guys need your help – a call to arms of friends and fan to help make this soft-serve dream a reality, so if you feel like lend your hands and hearts, contact the guys here.
The groups e-zine is also live and accesable HERE, so now live so you can get your digital frix on the background, life, reality and future of this super group, and their upcoming release.
